Asphinctanilloides is a Neotropical genus of ants in the subfamily Dorylinae.[2] The three known species are associated with lowland Amazon and Atlantic coastal rainforest.[3] The geographical distribution of the sister genus Amyrmex, known currently from the Amazon basin of Brazil and from northern Argentina, suggests that Asphinctanilloides may be a junior synonym of Amyrmex.[4]
