Colombo Public Library is the largest public library in Sri Lanka, located in Colombo 07, Sri Lanka.
History
The Colombo Library was established in 1925 merging the two libraries; Colombo Library and the Pettah Library.[1] At the beginning the library had 3 departments, The Reading Room, the Lending Room & the Reference Library. It had seven members on the staff, with late Mr. S.C Blok as the Librarian.[2]
