History
The station went on the air as KIOQ-FM in November, 1974; its original owner was Roy Mayhugh. Roy brought in a partner, Los Angeles DJ Jay Stevens, in 1975.
On 1985-03-01, the station changed its call sign to the current KIBS.[2]
