Kilmacsimon (Irish: Coill Mhic Shíomoin, meaning "Mac Simon's Wood") is a small hamlet situated on the banks of the River Bandon in County Cork, Ireland. Historical records list Killmcsimon in the Calendar of Patent Rolls of James I dated 1615.[1]
The village has its own rowing club, which hosts the Kilmacsimon Water Carnival every year towards the end of June, and a quaint pub. A Community and Activity Centre opened on May 17, 2014.[2]
It also has a pub and a boatyard (unknown if this is still operational)
