Levate is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northeast of Milan and about 8 kilometres (5 mi) southwest of Bergamo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,388 and an area of 5.3 square kilometres (2.0 sq mi).[1]
