The Taiwan Trunk Line (southern section) (Chinese: 縱貫線 (南段); pinyin: Zòngguàn Xiàn (nánduàn)) is a line of the Taiwan Railway Administration in Taiwan. It is 188.9 km long with double track.[1]
History
The line was completed in 1905. It is electrified (25 kV) with two tracks from Changhua Station to Kaohsiung Station. At the southern there is a connection to the Pingtung Line, on the northern end it split into two routes at Changhua Station: Coastal Line and Taichung Line (Mountain Line).
