Tunnel Mountain, Banff, the namesake of the formation
The Tunnel Mountain Formation is a geologic formation in Alberta. It preserves fossils dating back to the Carboniferous period in bedrock of sandstone with subordinate dolomite, dolomitic sandstone, and quartzite.[1]
It is named after Tunnel Mountain in Banff, Alberta.
