Batelov (Czech pronunciation: [ˈbatɛlof]; German: Battelau) is a small town (městys) in Jihlava District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic.
The town covers an area of 42.68 square kilometres (16.48 sq mi), and has a population of 2,335 (as at 1 January 2008).
Batelov lies on the Jihlava River, approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) south-west of Jihlava and 112 km (70 mi) south-east of Prague.
